Sujjan Singh shoots four-under for a share of third place, four other Indians in top-20

India’s Sujjan Singh shot a four-under-68 in round one of the Asian Tour's CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters to grab a share of third place. Sujjan is one shot adrift of the joint leaders Nicholas Fung of Malaysia and American Anthony Kang. Sujjan, a winner on the Asian Development Tour, sank eight birdies against four bogeys in the first round on Thursday to be the highest-placed Indian.

Rashid Khan, Arjun Atwal, Anirban Lahiri and Rahil Gangjee submitted cards of two-under-70 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club to close the day at tied 17th.

SSP Chowrasia was a further shot back in tied 34th place while Jyoti Randhawa returned a 72 for a share of 45th place.

Himmat Rai and Digvijay Singh ended up with rounds of 73 to be in joint 61st position. Chiragh Kumar carded a 77 to be tied 118th.
 
At the European Tour's Volvo China Open in Shenzhen, Gaganjeet Bhullar fired a one-under-71 to be tied 38th. Shiv Kapur carded a 73 to be tied 69th while Jeev Milkha Singh finished with a 76 to occupy tied 108th place.
