Rashid Khan becomes the 18th Indian to win an international title

Here’s a look at some of the records established after Rashid Khan’s breathtaking win at the SAIL-SBI Open 2014:

Rashid Khan became the 18th Indian to win an international tournament
 
Rashid’s win was the 59th by an Indian at the international level

Indians have now won international tournaments each year over the last 13 years beginning from 2002

Rashid became the 17th Indian to win on the Asian circuit

It was the 45th title triumph by an Indian on the Asian circuit

It was the third year in succession that an Indian won the SAIL-SBI Open

Two Indians have now won the SAIL-SBI Open, the other being Anirban Lahiri

This was Rashid’s fifth career title and first international win

Rashid won his first ever event as a card holder on the Asian Tour

Rashid’s overall playoff record (including Asian Tour and PGTI) now reads three wins against four losses

It was the fourth year in succession that an Indian won an international event at the Delhi Golf Club
