Viraj Madappa surges ahead by four shots in round two

Karandeep Kochhar and Yuvraj Singh Sandhu in tied second

Viraj Madappa (66-68) fired a second round of four-under 68 to surge ahead by four shots in round two of the Asian Games Selection Trials at KGA, Bengaluru.

Madappa’s eight birdies and four bogeys on Wednesday moved his total to 10-under 134.

The second position was shared by Karandeep Kochhar (69-69) and Yuvraj Singh Sandhu (68-70) as both had a 36-hole tally of six-under 138.

Veer Ahlawat (66-73) occupied fourth place at five-under 139.

Chikkarangappa S shot the day’s best score of 67 to end the round in 10th place at one-under 143.
