Viraj Madappa qualifies for Saudi International after winning 36-hole qualifying event
Viraj Madappa qualified for next week's $5 million Saudi International on the Asian Tour after winning the 36-hole Qualifying Event at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club by four shots on Thursday. Viraj shot scores of 66 and 68 for a total of 10-under 134.
Madappa posted a bogey-free six-under 66 in round one and followed that up with a four-under 68 that featured an eagle, four birdies and two bogeys.
The top-two finishers were guaranteed automatic qualification for the event.

Shubhankar Sharma will also be playing the event at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in Saudi Arabia.
Chikkarangappa, who was first on the waiting list and Khalin Joshi, who finished tied 14th at the qualifying event, too made it to the main draw of the Saudi International.
