Veer Ahlawat ends day three in tied 10th place at the SMBC Singapore Open

Veer Ahlawat (68-70-70) struck a second straight one-under 70 in round three of the Asian Tour's SMBC Singapore Open to be placed tied 10th at five-under 208.

Ahlawat made five birdies, two bogeys and a double-bogey during his third round on Saturday. Veer thus dropped five spots from his overnight tied fifth. He trailed the joint leaders Sihwan Kim of the United States and Sadom Kaewkanjana of Thailand by six shots.

Shiv Kapur (71-69-70) was tied 19th at three-under 210. Kapur produced five birdies and four bogeys on Saturday.

Viraj Madappa (75) occupied tied 47th place at were placed tied 16th at two-over 215.

Chikkarangappa and Rashid Khan were both in tied 55th place at three-over 216.

The 2022 SMBC Singapore Open is part of The Open Qualifying Series. Four places in The 150th Open at St Andrews are available to the four leading players (not already exempt) who finish in the top 12 and ties this week.
