Atwal in tied ninth and three off the lead after round three of 3M Open
Arjun Atwal (65-68-68) fired a second straight three-under-68 to be tied ninth at 12-under-201 after round three of the PGA Tour's 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota.
Atwal, the winner of the event's Monday qualifier, slipped two spots from his overnight tied seventh after his 68 on Saturday that featured five birdies and a double-bogey. He sank a monster 31-feet putt for birdie on the par-3 17th.
Arjun, the only Indian to win on the PGA Tour, now trails the lead by three shots.
The lead was jointly held by the American trio of Matthew Wolff, Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeChambeau at 15-under-198.
