Gaganjeet Bhullar begins with a four-under-67 in Japan to be tied sixth
Rahil Gangjee shoots three-under-68 to be tied 15th
India's Gaganjeet Bhullar, who has enjoyed a fabulous season so far with a win and as many as eight top-10 finishes on the international stage, made yet another sizzling start at the Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup in Japan on Thursday.
Bhullar carded an opening round of four-under-67 at the US$ 1.35 million event to be placed tied sixth, four off the lead. Gaganjeet mixed six birdies with two bogeys during his round.
The lead was held by Japan's Daijiro Izumida at eight-under-63 at the event co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour Organization.
Rahil Gangjee's three-under-68 placed him tied 15th while Ajeetesh Sandhu was a further shot back in tied 22nd.
Shiv Kapur, Viraj Madappa and Arjun Atwal shot scores of 72 to be tied 69th.
Chiragh Kumar's 73 placed him tied 82nd and Rashid Khan's 75 saw him end the day in tied 111th.
