Bhullar secures fifth place in Indonesia, Mane claims career-best tied sixth

Gaganjeet Bhullar (69-67-69-68) secured fifth place at the Bank BRI Indonesia Open after coming up with a final round of four-under-68. Bhullar totaled 15-under-273 as he finished three shots behind winner Justin Harding of South Africa.

Gaganjeet, who gained three spots from his overnight eighth, thus recorded his fourth top-10 and third top-5 finish of the current Asian Tour season.

Udayan Mane (67-68-69-70) carded a last round of two-under-70 to claim tied sixth place at 14-under-274. Mane, despite dropping two spots from his overnight tied fourth, registered his best ever finish on the Asian Tour.

Bhullar, a two-time winner of the Indonesia Open in 2013 and 2016, sank five birdies at the cost of a bogey on Sunday to finish inside the top-11 for the third week running on the Asian Tour. He was tied 11th at last week's Sarawak Championship and had finished runner-up the week before at the Queen's Cup.

Gaganjeet, who is now 11th on the Asian Tour money list, said, "It was a solid round of golf. I made a few good birdies. Most of them were tricky putts.

"I was looking at the leaderboard and with that, I kept motivating to get up there. I kept on going. But I still assessed the situation hole-by-hole. For the final few holes, I was particularly aggressive because I was hitting the ball well.

"My swing is on the way to being fixed. I see plenty of progressions and the goal is to be really consistent and get to my peak really soon. I’m working really hard to get my ninth Asian Tour title."

Udayan Mane mixed five birdies with three bogeys in round four to improve upon his previous best Asian Tour result of tied 10th which he achieved at the 2017 Bashundhara Bangladesh Open.

Udayan said, "A top-five finish is always great, but I’m not happy about what happened during the middle of the round. The wind affected my play on the eighth. On the ninth, I put myself in a decent position but I three-putted. At the 10th, I hit a good drive down the fairway. Had 120 yards in but I was so upset with my bogeys I skipped my thought process and three-putted. But at 11th, I recovered from a snap hook off the tee with a par. That got my round going.

"I’m happy with a top-10 finish. There is so much I can take back home from the way I played this week. I’m close to the winner. I have a blueprint of my scoring capabilities on this Tour."

Khalin Joshi ended tied 13th at 11-under-277 as a result of his final round of 71.

Honey Baisoya was tied 40th at four-under-284 and Jyoti Randhawa was tied 50th at two-under-286.

Chiragh Kumar finshed tied 63rd at one-over-289, Himmat Rai was 68th at two-over-290 and Shiv Kapur ended tied 70th at four-over-292.

Elsewhere, at the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic, Arjun Atwal finished tied 65th at four-under-280.
