Anirban Lahiri secures tied 13th at Quicken Loans National, final round 67 helps him gain 12 spots
Anirban Lahiri (67-74-65-67) shot a last round of three-under-67 at the PGA Tour's Quicken Loans National to finish an impressive tied 13th at seven-under-273.
Lahiri thus followed up on his creditable tied ninth at the Travelers Championship last week.
Anirban, who was overnight tied 25th, made pars on his first nine holes before coming up with an eagle, two birdies and a bogey on the back-nine.
Lahiri sank an eagle-two on the short par-4 14th where his 286-yard drive found the green. He drained a 10 feet eagle putt on the 14th.
Francesco Molinari of Italy won the title with a total score of 21-under-259.
As a result of his tied 13th finish this week, Anirban has now made his return into the world's top-100 as he has climbed from 101 to 99 in the Official World Golf Rankings. Lahiri also moved up from 95 to 86 in the FedExCup ranking.
