Bhullar signs a 67 to be tied eighth on day one in Indonesia
India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar signed for a solid five-under-67 in round one of the Indonesian Masters to be tied eighth, five off the lead.
The lead was held by Englishman Justin Rose who carded a 10-under-62 at the Asian Tour’s season-ending event being played at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club.
Bhullar, a winner in the current Asian Tour season, produced an error-free round on Thursday to be the best-placed Indian in the field.
Chikkarangappa also enjoyed a good start with an eagle and two birdies in his round of 68 that placed him tied 14th.
Shiv Kapur was tied 36th with a score of 70.
The trio of Rahil Gangjee, Chiragh Kumar and newly-crowned Joburg Open champion Shubhankar Sharma were in tied 60th with identical scores of 71.
Ajeetesh Sandhu, Rashid Khan and Honey Baisoya recorded scores of 72 to be tied 77th.
While SSP Chawrasia posted a 73 to be tied 96th, Himmat Rai was a further shot back in tied 112th.
Sujjan Singh and Jyoti Randhawa were tied 125th with rounds of 75 and Jeev Milkha Singh and Khalin Joshi were tied 141st with rounds of 79.
