Bhullar bounces back in Indonesia, five-under through 15 holes in incomplete third round

Lies tied eighth and trails the leader by five

India's Gaganjeet Bhullar was back in the hunt in round three of the Asian Tour's Indonesia Open. Bhullar, who opened the week with a solid 67 before stumbling with a 73 in round two, regained control with a five-under over 15 holes in an incomplete third round.

Gaganjeet's total of nine-under placed him five shots behind the current leader Panuphol Pittayarat of Thailand.

Bhullar, the winner last week in Macao, had a flawless day as he sank four birdies on the front-nine and added another on the 11th.

The penultimate round of the US$300,000 Asian Tour event was suspended at 12.42pm local time due to heavy rain. Officials later decided to call off play at 4.30pm due to persistent lightning threats at the Pondok Indah Golf Course.

A total of 57 players will resume their third round at 6.30am on Sunday with the all-important final round scheduled to start at 7.20am, according to the same draw as round three. Only nine players completed their rounds today.

Khalin Joshi and Udayan Mane (both at six-under totals through 15 and 14 holes respectively) were in tied 21st, while Ajeetesh Sandhu, at a four-under total through 17 holes, was tied 31st.

Arjun Prasad (one-under through 15) was tied 50th, Honey Baisoya (one-over through 14) was tied 56th while Himmat Rai (four-over through 17) was tied 64th.

Elsewhere, at the WGC-HSBC Champions being played in Shanghai, India's SSP Chawrasia shot a one-over-73 in round three to be placed tied 33rd with a total of one-under-215.
