Shiv Kapur best Indian on Day 1, shoots two-under-68 to be tied 27th

Shiv Kapur was the best placed Indian on day one of the European Masters in Switzerland. Kapur shot a two-under-68 to be tied 27th at the European Tour and Asian Tour joint sanctioned event.

Shiv, who came up with four birdies and two bogeys in round one, was placed four strokes off the lead.

The Indian trio of Chikkarangappa, Rahil Gangjee and SSP Chawrasia were in tied 106th after finishing with identical scores of three-over-103.

Rashid Khan was a further two shots behind in tied 132nd.
