Shiv Kapur finishes tied 26th at the European Masters
Shiv Kapur recorded the best finish among the Indians at the European Masters in Switzerland, an event co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours. Kapur totaled six-under-278 for the tournament to end up in tied 26th place.
The event was won by Thomas Bjorn of Denmark who outclassed Scotland’s Craig Lee in a playoff after the two golfers had ended the regulation 72 holes with identical scores of 20-under-264.
The 31-year-old Kapur shot scores of 70, 69, 70 and 69 to end up with the best score among the three Indians who made the cut.
Anirban Lahiri (63-71-75-75), the first round leader, was placed tied 57th after posting a tournament total of even-par-284.
Gaganjeet Bhullar (68-71-70-77) finished in tied 62nd place at two-over-286.
