Shiv Kapur tied 35th at halfway stage of Nordea Masters

Lahiri manages to make the cut by one shot at The Memorial

Shiv Kapur staged a remarkable fightback at the European Tour's Nordea Masters in Sweden as he shot a second round of four-under-68 to rise 67 places to tied 35th.

Kapur's scores of 74 and 68 meant his total stood at two-under-142.

The lead was held by Matthew Fitzpatrick of England at 11-under-133.

Jeev Milkha Singh (75-84), the other Indian in the field, missed the cut with a total of 15-over-159. 

The Nordea Masters is part of The Open Qualifying Series, where the leading player, not otherwise exempt, who finishes in the top-5 and ties, will qualify for the 2016 Open Championship.

At the PGA Tour's Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, India's Anirban Lahiri (70-72), who was overnight tied 44th, made the cut by one shot after his second round of even-par-72.

He was in tied 62nd place with a total of two-under-142.

At the Asian Development Tour's PGM Penang Championship in Malaysia, India's Aman Raj closed round three in tied 13th place at six-under-210 after an excellent third round of five-under-67.

Feroz Singh Garewal, the other Indian in the fray, occupied tied 25th place at three-under-213.
