Pune’s Udayan Mane, who had been struggling to find his ‘A’ game since the resumption of the tour in November last year, finally reignited his season with a two-shot victory at the Prometheus School Presents Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship 2021 being played at the Golden Greens Golf Club in Gurugram.
The 30-year-old Mane clinched his 11th title on the PGTI after he totaled 14-under-274 to prevail by two strokes at the Rs. 30 lakh event. Udayan’s third title of the 2020-21 PGTI season will help him make a big push up the world rankings from his current 320th position and as a result also boost his chances in the Tokyo Olympics qualification race.
Gaurav Pratap Singh continues steady progress to move into second place
Pune-based Udayan Mane’s late flourish which saw him sink birdies on the last three holes propelled him into the third round lead at a total of 11-under-205 at the Prometheus School Presents Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship 2021 being played at the Golden Greens Golf Club in Gurugram.
The burly Mane, a 10-time winner on the PGTI, struck a second consecutive five-under-67 on Thursday, the day’s lowest round, to move up three spots from his overnight tied fourth position at the Rs. 30 lakh event.

Defending champion Chikkarangappa S of Bengaluru carded a sublime seven-under-65, the day’s joint best score, to emerge as halfway leader at a total of nine-under-135 at the Prometheus School Presents Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship 2021 being played at the Golden Greens Golf Club in Gurugram.
Gurugram’s Tapy Ghai (67) and Chandigarh’s Harendra Gupta (70) were in joint second place with totals of eight-under-136 at the Rs. 30 lakh event.
