Jaipur Open 2019 to tee-off on September 24

• Prize purse of Rs. 30 lakhs

• Field to feature leading professionals Jyoti Randhawa, Rashid Khan, defending champion Aman Raj, Chiragh Kumar, Abhijit Singh Chadha

• Tournament returns for its third edition

 

 

The TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and the Rajasthan State Sports Council will be jointly staging the Jaipur Open 2019. The third edition of the tournament, carrying a prize purse of Rs. 30 lakhs, will be played at the Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur from September 24th – 27th, 2019. The Pro-Am event will be played on September 28th.

 

Hotel Hilton Jaipur is the Hospitality Partner for the event, WION is the Official News Partner, Amrutanjan Fruitnik is the Official Rehydration Partner and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an Associate Partner. 

 

The tournament will feature some of the leading Indian professionals such as Jyoti Randhawa (a winner of nine international titles and former Asia No. 1), Rashid Khan (2019 TATA Steel PGTI Order of Merit leader), Asian Tour regulars Aman Raj (defending champion), Chiragh Kumar and Abhijit Singh Chadha.

 

The prominent foreign names in the field are those of Sri Lanka’s N Thangaraja, Australia’s Kunal Bhasin and Bangladesh’s Md Dulal Hossain.

 

The Jaipur-based professionals in the field are Vishal Singh, Hemendra Choudhary, Mahesh Yadav, Yogendra Kumawat and Kamal Kumawat. The field also features Jaipur-based amateurs Siddharth Sharma and Shakti Singh.

The Jaipur Open has become an important stop on the TATA Steel PGTI since its inception in 2017 and is today one of the most eagerly awaited events on our calendar. The 2019 edition of the tournament will see a good mix of experience and youth vying for the top prize as the TATA Steel PGTI tees-off the action-packed second half of its season.”

Rambagh Golf Club, the premier golfing venue of Rajasthan, is a challenging Par 70 championship course with a yardage of 6303. The course is strategically designed on sandy loam soil and has a picturesque location with beautiful surroundings. Moving around the course, one is afforded with a view of the Rambagh Palace Hotel, Moti Doongri Fort, Nahargarh Fort and the Birla Planetarium.
