TAKE Solutions Masters primed for debut in August

TAKE Solutions, a globally recognized domain expert offering end-to-end Life Sciences solutions, will title sponsor a new Asian Tour tournament in India for the next three years until 2019, officials announced today.
The inaugural US$300,000 TAKE Solutions Masters, co-sanctioned with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), will be staged at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) Golf Course from August 3 to 6, 2017.
Through this new collaboration between TAKE Solutions, Asian Tour and PGTI, at least 40 Indian golfers will have the opportunity to compete against the region’s leading golfers where a win will be rewarded with full playing rights on the Asian Tour until the end of the 2018 season.
The Asian Tour’s newest tournament will be broadcast around the globe through a one-hour highlights package to be produced by Asian Tour Media.
The TAKE Solutions Masters will be central to the company’s drive to promote the development of professional golf in India and across Asia. Previously, it sponsored the TAKE Solutions India Masters on the Asian Development Tour (ADT), which is the region’s secondary circuit managed by the Asian Tour, bringing it to India for the first time in 2014 and 2015.
Such is TAKE Solutions’ commitment to the game that it also sponsors two domestic tournaments on the PGTI and Indian golfers including four-time European Tour winner S.S.P. Chawrasia and talented youngsters Khalin Joshi, Shubhankar Sharma and Chikkarangappa S. through personal endorsements.
H.R. Srinivasan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, TAKE Solutions said: “We have been associated with golf for over a decade in our efforts to create better infrastructure and greater playing opportunities in India and internationally. Having previously sponsored tournaments on the domestic and ADT circuits, it is a natural progression to the next level with the TAKE Solutions Masters, on the Asian Tour and PGTI.
“We are pleased to witness the exciting talent emerging on the Indian Tour and their growing success on international circuits. In addition to supporting deserving golfers, we believe that sponsoring tournaments like the TAKE Solutions Masters will provide Indian golfers with more opportunities to showcase their skills against the finest from across Asia.”
Asian Tour CEO Josh Burack welcomed the addition of the TAKE Solutions Masters onto the 2017 Schedule.
It is the third new event to join the Tour in 2017 following the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth and Yeangder Heritage in Taipei and also follows the recent groundbreaking announcement of the China Golf Association-Asian Tour Strategic Partnership which will see the launch of up to four new tournaments in China later this year.
“It is wonderful news for the Asian Tour that Mr Srinivasan and TAKE Solutions have committed to fully support the TAKE Solutions Masters over the next three years, and with a view to slowly increase the prize fund as well in 2018 and 2019,” said Burack.
“Being a global company, we are honoured to partner with TAKE Solutions whose passion to grow the game of golf is exemplary. Not only do they sponsor tournaments on the PGTI, TAKE Solutions also supports Indian players through endorsements which go a very long way in enabling the golfers to realise their professional dreams.
“The Asian Tour is also pleased to strengthen our partnership with PGTI, which we have a very long and successful partnership.”
PGTI CEO Uttam Singh Mundy said: “On behalf of the PGTI players, I would like to express our fullest appreciation to TAKE Solutions and Mr Srinivasan in particular for their continued involvement and support towards professional golf in India.
“Through this new tournament, we are delighted to expand our co-sanction programme with our partners, the Asian Tour. Indian golfers will have another opportunity to compete at the highest level in Asia and establish themselves in the game through the TAKE Solutions Masters.”
The KGA course has previously hosted a tournament on the Asian Tour in 2012 when Thai star Thaworn Wiratchant claimed victory at the Hero Indian Open.
